  1. Santa Clara sure could make those Deagans sound pretty good, tho.....
  2. We used to compare/contrast the Musser/Deagan instruments with the Cavies in '79 after shows. The general consensus was that the Musser keyboards sounded better, but the Deagan keyboards were easier to march around in. Then we'd have a laugh at how the Cavies had Geoff Thursby playing the vibes.
  3. You're looking at the "xylo" part of the xylo-vibe. Look a little more closely at the top keyboard and you'll notice that the accidental bars are raised above the natural bars instead of on the same plane, which would make me consider this a xylo-bell.
  4. I remember the little table flags you were supposed to raise if you wanted more.
  5. I used to always wind up next to the vibe player from Noath Stah in '79.......we must have been on the same second tour.
  6. I've got a $50 gift certificate to The Chancery here in my hot little hand--you wouldn't call THAT place a dive, now would you?
  7. Well, back then we used to call them "Peas and Corn" due to the yellow and green uni.
  8. Hmmm. In '79, the flags did not have a star in the center:
  9. We actually spent most of '79 with red drums....the white contact paper was added just before second tour--along with a switch from white bucks to black shoes.
  10. http://www.krollswest.com/ The burger is like Mother's milk to me. And yes it's in the shadow of the Frozen Tundra.
  11. Can't be '78--'78 was turbans and capes on the guard. Let's post the picture on the Blue Star website and ask for a consensus.
  12. Gimme a scallop roll and a frappe!!!!
  13. Cavaliers' Bassque have ALWAYS been ridiculous.

  16. Hells, no...........I'ma be on cookstaff--making tuna salad with Sweaty Betty.
  17. My age-out year I managed to snag the first seat at the top of the stairs......you know, the seat that had the wrap-around window, and the padding on the ledge that you could either prop your feet up on, or read your head against. And of course, that seat had possession of the car stereo that had been wired to the bus battery.
