I guess it kinda depends on what kind of corps your in. I usually see batons in classical corps (i.e. phantom regiment, reading buccanears, ect.) or traditional marching bands.
SCV for aussie just because it makes them look bad***. Crossmen in a close 2nd though.
Had a hard time between Regiment and Coats for helmet so I just said Regiment.
Southwind's shakos are definatelly the coolest I have ever seen.
After seeing Magic and Southwind this year, I would consider the sound far from incredible. They sounded horrible compared to any of the other 3 major brands.
I had my first ever viewing of drum corps in 2003 at the Hornell, NY show. Luckily for me, Phantom was there and my face was blown off. It's still one of my favorite shows.
Personally I think 3rd was a good placement for them but I thought the should have scored closer to BD. The drumline definately deserved the trophy they got.
What a great video. It shows the true emotion that went into that show. The tenor's stick heights were beyond monkey drumming and the brass makes me want to cry.
Correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't Vanguard had the same loose moeler-like technique for years. The only thing that was different last year was the matched grip.
Anyways I think Phantom will pull out on top followed by a tie between Cadets and Bluecoats.
Here's some that get a lot of play on mine.
