  1. When me prayers were poorly said Who tucked me in me widdle bed And spanked me till me ### was red, Me Mudder! Who took me from me cozy cot And put me on the ice cold pot And made me pee when I could not, Me Mudder! And when the morning light would come And in me crib me dribbled some Who wiped me tiny widdle bum, Me Mudder! Who would me hair so neatly part And hug me gently to her heart Who sometimes squeezed me till me fart, Me Mudder! Who looked at me with eyebrows knit And nearly have a king size fit When in me Sunday pants me #### , Me Mudder! When at night her bed did squeak Me raised me head to have a peek Who yelled at me to go to sleep, Me Fadder!
  2. Donny, I seem to remember hearing about this hot club band called Atlas Linen Company. Maybe late 70's or early 80's. I heard your name and D'Augustine were involved but I never got the chance to catch their show. Any truth to what I was hearing, and if so,any recordings exist?
  3. LOL Wish I could march with Academy. Think they have any openings in the horn line for an over weight 50 year old? LOL Thanks for all the info. Exactly what I was looking for. Listened to 73 and 74, loved those horn lines.
  4. Just listened to 1972 Auburn Purple Lancers. Anyone out there have any more info? Who wrote arranged the book? soloists?
  5. LOL I've seen him to that !!! Tilts his head way back, then balances his horn on his chops, horn pointing straight up using no hands. Then plays a song. Freaking amazing!!! I don't remember the song he plays. What was it again?
  6. Way cool!!!!! Thanks for posting all the videos on the web site. Just watched the 1986 show. Loved the show, loved the soloists. Who are they? Are they still involved in the activity?

  8. Snapple "Real Fact" # 90 "The average raindrop falls at 7 miles per hour"
  9. If that was 10th place...........Must have been a very good year for DCA
  10. Looks like it won't happen this season. We've talked about keeping the core group together and try to make it happen next year. Maybe even rehearse a few times just to keep the juices flowing. I'm sure something will be posted when the details are worked out. I'm hoping for the best. I really like the hybrid approach the guys in Seattle Brass Attack are taking. Part mini-corps,part brass ensemble. Line up and make music. Easy on the commitment side, but still fun for the soul. Hopefully the Phoenix area will generate enough interest to help us continue. If you're out there, let us know
  11. Great Pics. Thanks for sharing. Was just listening to a recording of John (Grass) Urspurch playing solo's with Sky in 1975. Awesome player. Great to see he's still active in the activity. Looked like an all star drum corps roster. Must have been fun
  12. I don't know how things have been run in recent years, but in the old days, the Rochester guys would have run this FNG out of town if he messed with drum corps. Might be a good thing for Hershey now that he's no longer a player there though.
  13. Was there a meeting for MCA over the weekend? I thought I read somewhere in this forum that a meeting in Albany was supposed to happen. Any info to share?
  14. Sorry, Still hanging on to the dream of playing in a "G" line again. I plan on hanging on to the G, but still need a b flat.....anyone?
  15. Loved playing in the Erie stadium. It was the site of some great shows over the years. Dunkirk Patriots had about 40 horns or so in 76. Don't remember the numbers for guard and percusion
  16. Ok, After searching, finding and purchasing a used "G" baritone a few months ago. It has now become necessary for me to switch to b flat. Anyone out there have one available to sell?
  17. Check the DCA web site. They have worked out some arrangements with the hotels for some favorable rates
  18. Played that show a few times. You really could hear howling and yelling from a few of the buildings on the grounds. Kind of unsettling. Many of the patients attended the show. Some were actually in a short bus wearing helmits, parked near the field.( No jokes please). I don't remember the sponsor of the show. It was a state of NY facility. Hopefully any profits from the show made it back to the hospital. Usually a daytime show if I remember correctly.
  19. 2004 Renegades 1975 Rochester Phoenix 1976 Cabs 2004 Empire
  20. Love those video's. Chris did your "in house"staff put the impact show together? Hire someone from outside? Great job!!! Tip of the hat to all involved
  21. So this is basically a hornline competition with the possibility of extra credit if your percussion is flashy and drill ( if used) impresses the judges. Seems like percussion definitely should be judged, drill.......??? Do we get more points if we bring a stripper as a drum major?(Just kidding) Are the sheets available anywhere?
  22. Nothing for percussion on the score sheets?????????????
