I'd pay a good amount for a Blu-Ray World Championship DVD. The video quality of the Blue Devils Encore that was recorded in HD was absolutely fantastic. I'd love to see that kind of video quality, along with the 7.1 Surround Sound, for every single corps. I'm also a huge fan of going from a four discs World Championship set to only one or two Blu-Ray discs. Typically, on a new release, you pay around 40% more to upgrade from a regular DVD to the Blu-Ray version. If DCI were to keep that trend, you'd probably be looking at around $170 for a Blu-Ray DVD.

That's understandable, but the Cascades should still post something about a "modified" tour schedule. I'd hate for a student, who wants to be part of a competing corps, to head up to Washington for tryouts only to find out that they will be performing a very limited schedule. I wish The Cascades the best of luck, whether they are going inactive or not.

I booked The Conrad in downtown Indy. It's very pricey but for landmark events like this, sometimes you have to spoil yourself.

Hilton and Marriott will let you book for next year. My hotel is part of the Hilton brand and it didn't give me any problems.

Same here! In San Antonio, a gentleman was bothering people up and down the entrance line for tickets. Sure enough, another gentleman stepped out of line and began the negotiating process for prices well over face value.

I had In & Out after the Walnut, CA show last year. The burgers aren't as big as they are back home in Texas, but I will say that it was probably the most perfect burger I've ever eaten.
