I was "never" laid off but I knew a few people who actually worked at that station at one time because they are (family friends) of my dad's side. So those actions by them (Infinity) at that time were "disgusting". I will never own a radio station but I can tell that end of it is extremely "cut-throat".

It's the type of radio based,satellite program that Infinity wants to shove down everyone's throats across the country while "firing/laying off" huge amounts of long time radio personal and "insighting" people who knew of the local radio dj's because the format was changed for the worse in all of the cities involved. In other words, it's a themed show shoved down everyone's throats that over half the drum corps. segments hates on prinicipal.

This show by X this season is STUPID ! The narration and fact that it's a "JACK-FM" based show kills it. <**>

History will be repeated alright as in another disappointing finish for the Cadets when they get sent home without the championship trophy

these people need to take pointers from units like Buccaneers,Renegades,and Empire for their shows as they blow most of the DCI shows off the field. Sorry, but it's true.

That's because it's show is controversial for one and it's also NOT drum corps. but a BOA show that traditionalists like me don't like. That's why.

Not very hard to disagree with that accessment at all. A "BOA" show will NOT guarantee a DCI championship. END OF STORY. :P

That "drama" will continue until a "certain" individual gets his nose "out" of their business and until then expect all the "nonsense" to continue and for X to be "subpar" and considered Cadets "B".

Except that you left out the "steroids/pep pills" part that players can still get around. Speaking of which a "particular" player will heading to prison sometime soon :P

Those uni's the guard wore made me want to do this :o and this ampssuck. Those things were just unsightly.

BTW, Ask Ellen Simonetti what happened to her when she got fired by a "major airline" for the things she posted on a blog on journal space. So, it just goes to show what can happen if you aren't careful.

A blog IS a "public" forum if you place "controversial" statements on there even though you would think it's someone's private blog. I know it's supposed to be the "thoughts" of what an individual is thinking but to air it out for all to see isn't necessarily a good thing either.

What's going with Crossmen equals what is going on with Cadets. I haven't posted in a LONG time here but here is my two cents on this: IMO, The problems with Xmen is extremely numerous ranging from the fact that guard work was extremely "off/dirty" at the Westminster,Md. show to the fact that this show they have this season is a "BOA" type of program because of the fact that they want this to sound like a "JACK-FM type of deal. Now the Cadets now the other hand seem to think they could pull a "fast one" on people and make it seem like the typical "USSBA" shows you see in the fall on that circuit and that to me is extremely tacky. The brass section is incredible for Cadets but the percussion and front lines just don't do for me. The singing has to go as well and if it did and there was more percussion work this show would be in the top 3 hands down. I used to throughly enjoy both of these corps. years ago but I can't say that anymore. I feel sorry for these kids that bust their butts everyday and have to be critizised for something they have no "control" over. Like I said before, it's been awhile since I've been on here but after reading all the stuff here I felt compelled to mention what I though was wrong. Btw, Xmen have 0 chance of making to "championship night" the way I see it. Cadets will, but they don't have the show to take it all. Thanks for your time and letting get this off my chest.
