lindap
I may be biased because I marched with and instructed Alberta All Girls, Alberta, Canada. However, Les Châtelaines de Laval, Québec were very classy. If 'Hot' means good sound from drums and horns, entertaining drill, a polished marching style, then both of these all girl drum corps were hot in the 1970's. How I wish you could hear our CD's from 1974 - 1977. Sometimes pictures are not enough.
Callawyn
First off, you just have to add Abella to the poll. The uniforms were unflattering, but there were some exceptionally beautiful girls under them. As a former male member of Arbella after they went co-ed, I *had* to hate les chatellaines, had I been caught checking them out I'd have been dead shortly after. flugelswerebugels
I was going through here and waiting for the Les Chatelains to show up. In my years in, overall Les Chatelains were it. CapitolAires were it in my early years... I was in love with like 20 of them... Jack Meehan taught both Les Chatelaines and Blue Devils in the late '70's. He set me up as a pen pal with Une Chatelaine (sp?). If I say anything else here I risk offending someone.
