bradrick
For me, it would definitley be 1987 SCV.
oaklandcrusader
I'd have to say the 1977 Oakland Crusader Drumline of which i was member (Bass Drum) has got to be ranked right up there...We were instructed by Tom Float...We swept all the drum captions in Prelims beating Blue Devils and FreeLancers by 6 1/2 10ths...Unfortunately, our corps finished just out of top 12 that year...Our lines in '75 and '76 weren't too shabby either...For me '74 SCV and Kingsmen are right up there... COUGAR
SCV 1980 "STONE GROUND SEVEN" AND 2002 CADETS (MAYBE NOT THE CLEANEST LINE, BUT THEY ROCKED IN "BOOGIE WOOGIE BUGLE BOY"
Crossroads
For me? Definately 89 Phantom, of course (just before the Prosperie years, actually, I believe, the year he aged out). Correct me if I'm wrong. mmm... 92 Cav's (the whole drum feature). 93 Phantom (especially @ the end when the snares are rushing the sidelines). 93 Cadets (except for that one snare feature that sounds like a cluster ####). Clean Tenor line that year.
Roark1
73 and 74 SCV - Sanford's writing changed the way that drum parts were constructed from a musicality standpoint IMO.
TerriTroop
27th Lancers early 80's until they folded. Laser-like intensity in the eyes and a really full, butch sound. Crossmen mid 80's, for the same reason.
gbass598
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe '94 BD only had 9 snares that year. I don't remember seeing Roger Carter split center with anyone that year.
