ChiBoyinLA
About 5 minutes ago, a moderate quake initially registering 4.5 on the Richter scale hit the Los Angeles area, centered in the northwest San Fernando Valley. Link to the USGS: http://quake.usgs.gov/recenteqs/ 4.5 is not strong enough to do anything but minor damage near the epicenter, but now many can tell the tale "I Survived The Finals Earthquake!" :P
hsreed
DCI starts it's championship weekend in California with a nice 4.5 quake centered in Northridge, CA rocks So Cal at 1AM, Thursday, August 9th. The rolling with a little shake quake lasted about 10 seconds, barely anything. http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Quakes/ci14312160.htm

Eddie
merged earthquake threads. And yeah, welcome to Sunny shaky California. Hope all is okay. Will, do you remember where you were during the 1995 quake? I do, and it wasn't fun at all :(
gwai lo
Well, at least something hit. We haven't had an earthquake for a while, maybe we'll have a couple more little ones ( as opposed to the huge one we're supposed to get sometime in the next 10 years ). I didn't even feel it...haha ><

madscout96
If we can just make it through the next 3 days without a bigger earthquake, fires, rolling blackouts, or landslides... that would be good.
