BoxVSoprano
NO! The field was below standard for the corps taking the field. If there were some huge sink hole, should they have still marched? Cheers, Sean w/Stp: yes
BoxVSoprano
Does it state, in the rule book, that field markings must be clear and present? no
SeanOwenSullivan
well then to respond to your above scenario, sink holes pose no problem whatsoever to the cadets. they would just fill is with cheese and march over it :sshh: Solution to a sink hole (OR ANY OTHER SITUATION WHICH POSES A THREAT TO ANYONE'S SAFETY): Leave field and make DCI fix it as it's their's responsibilty. Boof96
I am still waiting for an explanation as to why the penalty was rescinded.
The Nagging Cough!
Well, if you're gonna take out a loan from DCI to go all the way out to LA, I guess you better demand a pristine field and make sure you don't get any penalties. Conflict of interest fever: catch it!
SeanOwenSullivan
Does it state, in the rule book, that field markings must be clear and present? Does it state that there has to be grass. My HS practices on the parking lot marked with yardlines. Maybe we'll have Championships there next year? Does the rule book state every single scenario? Doubtful. BoxVSoprano
Do you have pics of this?Cheers, Sean w/Stp: yes, i too find it hard to believe that its possible to march on a field with no hash marks without causing bodily harm to anyone. i demand evidence of this event! SeanOwenSullivan
i understand according to the judges.. but i disagree with the judges. So by "marching circles around" you really just meant to say you THOUGHT they "marched circles around" the Cadets? Taking scoring into your own hands? Similar accusation you accuse Mr. Hopkins of?
