Yes, lets not even get it started the debacle of the brass judging that night. Regardless of corps placement, there is no way Cadets should not have walked away with the Ott easily in 01.

Disclaimer: I have not seen/heard all second place place shows from the decade.

That said, Phantom '06 has to be one the most emotional shows I've ever seen.

2003 Cavies should have had it. Blue Devils' show was pretty bad-###, but I found the Cavies' show to be more dynamic, demanding, and generally more interesting.

I have to go with Blue Devils 2004. Loved that show all year, and pulling out the surprise "leave the field" ending just for Finals was brilliant..almost won them the title. I also give them the edge because they had the smallest margin of separation between any of the 1st/2nd matchups (excluding ties) of the decade so far, and the smallest margin of separation since 1993

I'll say it - CADETS 2007 FOR SURE! The great, powerful, talented hornline is worth the vote alone. On top of that add the solid drill and drumline you've got yourself the best 2nd place finish of the 2000 era.

Just my opinion - of course.
