There was a very good solo in last year's Blue Devils' show. I would also like to add the really good solo by the contra player with Capital Sound. Bluecoats 2006 has a tuba soli type line in the very beginning and then again in the closer. Phantom 2004 opens up with a tuba soli, but it might be too "funny" for what you're going for.
