Most of the pieces horn lines learn are 2-3 minutes long max, which means you'd have to learn about 20 of them to begin to approach the hour-long range. Yeah I think that's the point... no one learns nearly that amount of music for a summer of drum corps, as opposed to a professional orchestra or even rock band, who plays at least that much music every show night.
