ajlisko
OK, this is a blank for me, but I've got some facts. The tunnel in Baltimore is the Fort McHenry Tunnel and Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner. FSK died in Baltimore in 1843. He lived in Georgetown and there's a modern day bridge named the Key Bridge that crosses the Potomac River. That's a bridge, not a tunnel. Ted Williams had nothing to do with drum corps or any tunnel or bridge in Baltimore, but has everything to do with that tunnel in Boston name wise. All this and Jumpin Joe Genero smiling at Charlie Sheen holding a flag. If I was any more confused, I'd stab my wrist with a Bic pen. Stick with McHenry and you're on the right track ... now GOOGLE away ...

gsksun4
this is a stretch, but he could be loosely connected to the star spangled banner. If it's Jim McHenry, could you please explain this? Just curious, thank you.

gsksun4
Was it not this fort where Francis Scott Key wrote the SSB??? I'm not sure he wrote it at that battle but I think that was the inspiration. You're right about that fort. That was the war of 1812. The attack was in 1814 on Fort McHenry by the British navy. The American flag that was raised during the attack was actually created on a malthouse floor at Claggett's Brewery. Man, this sewing is killing me, how bout a beer run? It was a giant flag, no honor squad could carry today. So Fish, I guess that answers my question. Thanks Vanguard Rich.
