esch Posted November 12, 2007 Share Posted November 12, 2007 They certainly do, which is why the high school band I teach makes a point of performing in our local Veteran's Day Parade each year. Not only do we make a strong statement of thanks, but I can use it as an opportunity to teach my students both the value of service and also that you don't have to support a particular governmental policy to appreciate the sacrifices that others have made in their lives for the greater good. I'm proud to say that there were more bands in yesterday's parade than in any time I can remember. I saw a lot of smiles along the parade route. Happy Veteran's Day.
