This is so absurd, it seems like a diversion...

Or the next step that brings woodwinds that much closer. You need to amp a woodwind soloist to be heard in a show dominated by brass and percussion. Pass the amp instruments on the field rule, then you have little arguments not to pass woodwinds in the future.

I hereby decree that whenever Mr. Kviz posts in a topic, we reply to it with the "we are not worthy" emoticon, because we certainly are not, in the presence of this great hero of drum corps preservation. Like thus:

*shakes head...* GH has sold his soul to the devil...lol.

I have a great deal of respect for George Hopkins but this has to be the absolute DUMBEST proposal ever. It's completely POINTLESS. Look, do you want to know what I do for a living? I'm a professional sound man. The LAST thing I mic...THE LLLLAAAAAAAST thing I mic...and only when brass instruments are COMPLETELY drowned out by electric guitars and drums is brass. I (including every other sound man in the world) LAUGH at this. It's absurd! There is absolutely NO NEED to mic brass instruments in a drum corps. NONE! Hop, I love ya! But I hafta say....I THINK YOU'VE COMPLETELY LOST IT!
