Aelius
LOS ANGELES LAKERS WERE 1988 NBA CHAMPIONS AS WELL AS 2008!!!!!!!!!! Except that they're not gonna win this year. :D
drumkid
it's more likely for a corps to win after placing 6th than a corps to win after placing 15th. umm... I was implying I didn't think they would win b/c they are coming off a 15th place showing. I think if you understood my entire (and I do mean "ENTIRE") post you would see that you are merely echoing my sentiment. And that was indeed all in fun. After you look up all the items in my post, be sure to look up "sarcasm". panties: -inawad I hope this doesn't read as rather dark, but to be sure... I'm posting here just in case others missed my original point. anything further will go to PM's. Seriously, I am looking forward to seeing Scouts; if the stars align, the markets crash, W is granted a third term, and Madison takes the title I would be very surprised. btw: Indiana hosted the Big10 Men's Indoor Track & Field meet this year... Wisconsin won.

notelvis
This year is just like 1988:It's an election year. A republican that's been there for 2 terms is on his way out. (Reagan in 88, W in 08) DCI Finals will be held at an open-air stadium where the home football team wears red. (KC Chiefs in 88, IU Hoosiers in 08) Kansas won the men's college basketball championship. (Danny Manning in 88, Mario Chalmers in 08) The Super Bowl was won by an east coast NFC team (Redskins in 88, Giants in 08) Summer Olympics to be held in East Asia (Seoul in 88, Beijing in 08) Did I leave anything out?? Besides, Madison has implemented the four-step 'Blue' plan for winning the championship this year. Step 1 will be to beat the Blue Stars. Step 2 will be to overtake the Blue Knights. Step 3 will be to overtake the Bluecoats. Step 4 will be to overtake the Blue Devils......preferably on finals night. It's that simple!!!! zajicek1
How did I miss this thread the first time? Now people at work think I really am crazy with all this laughing from my desk!
madscout96
Yet another reason that this is just like 1988: I visited Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in July of 1988, and now in July of 2008. Those are the only 2 years I've ever been there. I mean, if that isn't enough to convince you all, I don't know what is...
GGarrett
Well I'm convinced. Hey... I just saved a ton of money by switching to Geico! OH, and I hear the corps will be staying at a Holiday Inn Express for finals week also! There ya go....
