TealEuph7
Star 1991. I would put down SCV 1989 but the soprano soloist was just not as good as the soprano soloist/duet of 1988. Edited April 19, 2008 by TealEuph7
Hrothgar15
Star 1991. I would put down SCV 1989 but the trumpet soloist was just not as good as the trumpet soloist/duet of 1988. Or the soprano soloists.

HOOKEDBYLEGEND78
Two great corps in general, and both corps are some of my favorites. I did not think that SCV had won in '89 (yes, I was there in K.C.), so I have a hard time voting for this show. It was a fantastic show, and very entertaining, just doesn't quite seem to have the extra "oomph" to get me to vote for it. I did not get to see Star in person in '91 (one of a handful of corps that I regret not being able to see live during my roughly 30 years as a fan). The changes they put in to end the show (cross-to-cross) at the very end of the season is serving as my tie-breaker between these two great corps. Final vote: Star 1991!
