Jeff Ream
clonnyandbyde (if that IS your real name),You take yourself WAY too seriously... Let's face it, us Empire guys are just jealous because we don't have a cartoon character that our band parents can dress up as. But I did hear that Joey Pero's dad might come dressed up as Mayor McCheese. wait....I thought you guys dressed up Joey to be your character? ( kidding Joey). But I'd pay to see his dad do it. Jeff Ream
What I meant was . . .Success breeds contempt. That's fine. It's part of the game. All in good fun, too! (I hate the Yankees) everyone should hate them. drum corps and bands alike will never get into Scranton now

Tom D'Bomb
actually, and I hate to burst your bubble, but if Bucs win, Tom will applaud like a true sportsmen, even we can hear what's coming out of his gritted teeth You are absolutely right Jeff!!! Remember the first guy to congratulate the Westshore Pit in 96? That's right, ME. (The Cabs were busy chasing Herschman around the parking lot to the sound of the Benny Hill theme song) And for all you guys who want to bring up '97 (when Empire and Brigs tied) ... I know that both corps feel cheated, but to me it meant that a couple hundred friends got rings (and a bunch of ring chasers from Cru ... ouch, I did NOT just say that). 8-) Edited August 27, 2008 by Tom D'Bomb
Jeff Ream
at times in 97, what went on on the field wasn't as entertaining as off of it...but #### that was a good year for corps on the field.

LarSchmidt
I happened to run into Sal in Bloomington a couple of weeks ago. He was hanging around the Dynasty booth schmoozing with Bob Devlin, Skippy LaShoot and Jaoquin Devo. I asked him what he thought of the DCA Championships this year. He said "I kinda like Empire because they don't wear hats." We all were kind of confused by that comment but he went on to say that "by not wearing hats they represent the times we live in...an era of openess and transparency. They've got nothing to hide, they are who they are and they are proud of being about emotion, patriotism, and total entertainment." Definitely, food for thought.... Oh how I miss those heady days of rec.arts.marching.drumcorps in the late 90's. Seriously, you're killing me. Dale Bari
I wouldnt mind seeing Tom as Ron. That could be interesting.Donny Only so long as TA can imitate Ron's imitation of "Macho Man" Randy Savage. But, the real question is: Will TA go the "full monty" and shave his head, or will he just wear a "bald cap"?
