Galen Posted July 19, 2008 Share Posted July 19, 2008 My pick- today's the day the judges decide to make things interesting and introduce some major drama. 1: Cavies 2: BD 3: Cadets (boy I'd love to be wrong about this one) 4: Phantom 5: Crown 6: Vanguard 7: Bluecoats 8: BK 9: Boston 10: Blue Stars 11: Glassmen Now here's where things get interesting. Crossmen have been a corps on fire the last few days, but their performance position was determined before that streak started, and they go on much earlier than Spirit and Colts, two corps they've been beating lately (and which they themselves have been scoring extremely close to each other). I'm worried that Crossmen might get shafted as a result (like Troopers did last year coming into San Antonio), which will affect their seeding for the NEXT regional, etc etc. So while Crossmen SHOULD be 12th, there's a nagging concern in the back of my mind based on last year's outcome. 12: Crossmen 13: Colts 14: Madison 15: Spirit 16: Academy 17: PC 18: Troopers (sucks, I know- but it's gonna happen) 19: Mandarins 20: Pioneer Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pioneer Never been a fan of these prediction threads so I'm not going to jump on that one...however some interesting things I'll be looking for tonight: Spread between BD and Cavies; who come out on top in the Cadets, CC, PR clump and what's the spread and in which captions (PR drums, CC horns, Cadets GE/Vis); SCV or Bluecoats and by how much; Glassmen, Xmen, Madison clump and the coin flip that is 14-18th. This is the first big head to head of the summer and its always interesting to see if the west coast inflation is true (some years it hasn't, other years right on). IF there is a west coast inflation going on, Cavs win and PR might go down to Cadets or Crown....how about that for a story line? Plus I think Bluuuue is poised for a big move, and they do have a history of making big jumps at regionals. Blue Devils I think are still the favorites but think they'll lose the undefeated season tonight, Cadets I think are 4 points from their show being Maxed out unless they make large changes.
