Lonnieg1906
Were the drums that Blue Devils used in '89 Yamahas or Premier HTSs with Yamaha stickers on them? I would say that they were Yamaha. I don't think Yamaha would let something like that slide. Not with T. Float working with Yamaha.
Cadetsnare
At that time, Yamaha owned Premier, so yes, they actually were Premier snares with Yamaha stickers. This was pre-ffx/sfz, so they were the only free-flaoting game in town at the time.

corps8294
I kind of thought so. We were on tour with the Sky Ryders a lot in '89, and they had the new white and black free floaters, too. I think the Bluecoats were the other corps using the new Premiers that year. Thanks for the info! I'll take a good line of Yamahas or Pearls over the rest! Kamarag
I think the Bluecoats were the other corps using the new Premiers that year. It was Star of Indiana.

corps8294
True about Star of Indiana. They were a Premier corps until '93. I think for thier last year as a competitive drum corps, they used Pearl.
