K-Swiss
2003: The Canon closer (y'know, the huge horn hit?) 2008: When the drum majors shake hands, but one just walks away.
straightj23
2008: When the drum majors shake hands, but one just walks away. I remember seeing that for the first time at Finals. Oh, no he didn't!! haha My favorites: -1989: Pretty much the entire show! -1993: The snares charge the sideline at the end of the show, scaring the hell out of the percussion judge. Haha -1996: The drill at the end of the opener. Blob straight to triangle. AWESOME! -2003: The percussion cutting through the hornline towards the end of the opener. -2005: It's rhapsody in blue!! What more do you want?? -2008: The "300" esk scene with the color guard facing their shields toward the hornline army.
K-Swiss
I saw it at quarterfinals and went nuts. I was going crazy the entire show
CoHmempho04
1996, whole show especially the beginning. 2003, whole show especially the end of the drum break in the closer to the end and the ballad. 2005, whole show especially when the contras have the melody and the mellos are playing 16th note runs behind them and when they play the "relax section". 2008, whole show especially, baritone lick when they're in the square, the mello lick right after that, the way they enter the field, Trinity set when they do the dose e dohs (or whatever you call them), mello solo, splitting of the heart and killing the girlfriend/wife of spartacus, battle scene, the HUH! when they hit the block (such a thing the Romans would do), killing of the drum major, killing of Spartacus. I just wish the end of the show was longer so we can enjoy that hornline for JUST a little longer! (Thank you Fan Network for letting me know the show so well)
straightj23
"Judges...are you watching...?" to the end forgive me for asking, but what are you talking about?
Buick
forgive me for asking, but what are you talking about? There's a section near the end of 89 where someone yells "Judges are you watching!!?", not sure exactly where in the show, I'm sure somewhere here knows. Anyway, theres no Phantom show I don't enjoy except for maybe 97 and 98, or maybe I just haven't watched those enough, but besides that there's never been a show that has disappointed me. some of my favorites: 2008: goose-step hornline 2007: follow the leader flock jazz run to the end 2006: ballad and ending 2005: tuba feaure and I love rhapsody in blue anyway so basically the whole show 2004: the hit with the heart shape 2003: Euph soli at the beginning of the closer 1999: sop feature in Tchaikovsky's 4th intro and the ballad 1996: ending 1994: "YEEAAAHHH" at the 360 turn in the beginning au clair de luine beautiful! velocity of the ending 1993: nevorssik chimes, malambo, the mellos double time jazz running in the back during the opening euph feature 1992: 1812, all of it 1991: opening 1989: largo (yes i like it as a pop ballad or whatever it is, it's cool ) wedge leg kick-out 1981: the sop duet 1978: firebird 1977: pagliacci and new world 1976: toccata and fugue and that's just off the top of my head edit for spelling Edited August 15, 2008 by Hansbari
Chris Scott
right before the big hit soprano unison in the diagonal, someone (rumors as to WHO it is) yells "Judges, are you watching?" forgive me for asking, but what are you talking about? Supersonic
Oh man... I was thinking the other day how epic it would be to go down the aisle to Phantom's 2003 opener. :D
