melligene
Way to go MCL. Wasn't able to see yinz but reports from those "in the know" told me you really lit it up. A little off topic here but the full corps', at prelims, was a TBIRD favorite. #### "G" horns anyway Edited September 1, 2008 by melligene
the_aborigine
Mass Brass was all about the Malaga opener and spanish attitude in Malaguena and El Gato Triste. Big-time horn sound. Big-time.Biggest Question: what will it take to overcome the top cheeze (Indiana)? I bet they will be thinking about just that. Man, close at the top. Knowing how clean Star was, not being there but having seen them, big grats to Mass Brass!
brassomaniac
Congrats to Star! And to all of the Mini-Corps participants. I didn't get to see much of the show. But it appears that there were some truely great performances. Edited September 1, 2008 by brassomaniac

The minute they announced 2nd place we started working on next years' show. We have know idea what it will take to beat Star and I haven't heard anybody else that may know, but one thing is for sure, MB will not stop friggin trying! A little more show performed a little bit cleaner. Triple Q's don't win, clean double Q's do. But, again, nicely done. *raises a PBR to youse all*
GuyW
My FAVORITE was Deb Peterson of the Anaheim Kingsmen who performed her color guard rifle individual in the uniform of the corps proper and with absolute precision, style and grace. She got a standing-o. I liked it so much, I asked her to take a picture with me. [ Where's the pic? Who has video?? dugada
Where's the pic?Who has video?? Feeling bad that I missed my bud's in Mass Brass. From what I heard you guy's brought the house down!! Dinosaur BBQ was slow getting us in but it was soooo good. Caught the last few minicorps, what a great show. Sure wish we put one together this year but didn't miss that late Thursday night rehearsal after flying across the country. Very cool to see the first mention in this review was my wife Deb, AKA debada. She kicked butt in an old school way. Just got back to Cali but I've got a video that I hope to get posted soon. It was a true honor to have her on my arm. Porter

Dugada, Sorry we missed you guys Friday night, MB left it all out there on the stage as promised! Completely understandable though, we did the Dinosaur on Saturday afternoon (in somewhat impaired condition ) and the food was great. Really enjoyed your show at the prelims and it was special seeing Bonnie Ott work her magic after all these years. Hope to see you and your Mini Corps at next year's show. Take care
CVQuesty
I second the kudos to Star. And to the classless lout that shouted "This isn't DCI" after the first piece. Shut the hell up. We know it isn't DCI. It's better.
