MAV
*tear* Thank you! Great not only hearing the Renegades show (courtesy of my husbands cell phone) but then reading the descriptions and then WATCHING the video. It's almost the next best thing to being there. Wow - what a sop! And what mello playing from that Bonnie-lady! Toby
Bushwhackers are entering the field. Pit is on the sideline. Hornline arcing up front side. F-tuning to open the warmup, chords, wham, done. Color guard is in gold tunics with jingle belts and maroon pants. Much larger guard than the Renegades. Corps is scattered in twos across the field. Tuning slide flying from right side. Guard member left side opens with a tambourine. Hornline enters backfield. Turning front fo first big hit. Guard has a great moment. Contras laying down a groove for the rest of the hornline to play with. Flag silks are in orange lamee. Rifles out with them on the left 35. Very good integration with the guard inside the corps and outside. Guard ends all left of the 50, hornline/drums end right of the 50. Toby
Flags exit the field front side, leaving weapons to have the glory. Dancer out on the 40. Splits! Rifles integrated into sops /baris. Mellos with sabres on left 45. Interesting use of the field. Hornline is really putting out some notes. Movement ends horns/drums encompassing the weapons. Todd Tanji
Nice licks from the mello quintet. Key really wrote a demanding book this year. Guard member has a silver orb. Haunting mello/bari duet.
Todd Tanji
Thanks John Donovan for explaining to me what an ORB is?
Toby
Soloist (mello/bari) up front. Rifles exit slowly. Flags out with purple/silver silks. Long line of them splitting the corps horizontally. Sops/mellos and baris/contras. Good ears, can't tell a tear at all. Guard moves forward with contrary work. Hornline blocked between the 35s. More contrary work. Drum break. Snares first slicing through between the basses and tenors. Hornline lines splitting the 30/35 left side. Breaks into two circles the blocks moving vertically twards each other. Fight club. Flags surrounding. Horns open up the form, flags still surrouding, breaking out front right of the form.
Todd Tanji
Sabers are squeaky clean. Very fast-paced and exciting show. Generating lots of intensity. Guard striking interesting poses amongst the trumpets.
