DCA 2008 Alumni Spectacular Coverage

Recommended Posts

They are doing it big time. I'm not sure this much sound is legal except in two Louisiana parishes.

Probably the most dead-on accurate desciption in the entire two-days of reporting........... great choice of words, Kevin. My ears are still ringing from when they played in front of the reviewing stand at the Totowa Memorial Day parade.

Probably Ponzo and Hawkins.

Wow, during the triple tonguing sopranos, the crowd clapped and stamped their feet along with the players.

Cabs Alumni are just ripping it up.

When an alumni corps has enough horns to field 10 contras, you know they're huge, as is their sound.

Hill Where the Lord Hides. Mellos coming up front, getting ready to switch to the old school French horns. Are they single valve or valve/rotor?

I remember this moment in Harrisburg. They just get louder and louder, repeating the same lick over and over. Awesome middle horn sound.
