Straight leg jazz running does NOT involve plie...

right!

straight leg jazz running is just about the hardest thing I have ever tried to do... but when done well, it looks so much better than the squat a run most corps do... heard it called the popcorn technique... because when you come out of the run.. you "pop" up... this can be effective in it's own way.... but only when a full ensemble does it... it's annoying when one or two people are running... then they pop up to the level of the rest of the corps.

Quite the opposite actually - it involves moving in releve.

the blue devils have moved the "best" since 1994.

That'd be thanks to that God among marching men, Todd Ryan!

no. Bust most other corps' do.

the whole point of the Cavaliers' technique is the prevent a level change.

I'm sorry, I just can't accept that as fact. Level change, whether intentional or not, is readily apparent with the Cavaliers. Not saying its good or bad, but that it happens. You don't see it as much with BD, Cadets, etc.

so pretty much...marching is not quite as physically demanding on your knees as other sports such as tennis, basketball, soccer, competitive swimming, etc anything else requiring much knees.

I believe corps is much harder than any of those sports (seeing that i play all of them for my high school except basketball), but not necessarily on the knees.
