G_Bass
Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. Heck yes. Not only does it fit those for who its named, but its a great march in of itself. Along with that, March Grandioso, Liberty Bell, and/or Gladiator March.
DCIHasBeen
Or you can try "Not the BooWorld" theme. It could be a great march.
84BDsop
I can't give you "new" marches, but Bravura is another great one. That's a vert easy one....my HS Sr year march, in fact!
scvjesse
Shrewsbury Fair is a really good one, as it shows off every section. Good luck finding the music, though. It's extremely rare these days. When the judges lost my scores (originals) at our first band review this year, I found out that only a couple schools in all of California have that in their library. G-horns
I can't recall which big band did it, but there is a big band chart of Washington Post somewhere. Easily adapted for D&B and still familiar to most of your Middies.
JeffUsnaDB
Thanks again for all the feedback! "Washington Post" was our parade march up until this fall, when we subbed in an old standby called "Battle Cry of Freedom"... (it's a medley of a couple standards). I do have "Bravura" in the library (arr. Truman Crawford) and a couple of those other suggestions. Jeff
crazymello
Probably my favorite march that I've ever played.
suncontra89
How about this?
Martybucs
How about this? Reading Buccaneers, 1980 OTL. Piece of cake! EDIT: Just a thought, you might be able to obtain the Tony Yacklich arrangement from the Buccaneers or even Tony. It would save some time and it's a pretty good arrangement. It's drum corps friendly. JeffUsnaDB
You know, the Sea Hawk clip is pretty cool. In that YouTube clip, around 3:30 there is a nice march theme... not too hard.
