taters
Some of our favorite corps songs have lyrics...guess my song from the lyrics and then post your own set of lyrics to be guessed, and no made up lyrics. God knows we had lyrics for every song we had to practice and some of them would have to be seriously censored here! 'Tis the gift to be simple, 'tis the gift to be free, 'Tis the gift to come down where you ought to be, And when we find ourselves in the place just right, 'Twill be in the valley of love and delight. When true simplicity is gain'd, To bow and to bend we shan't be asham'd, To turn, turn will be our delight, Till by turning, turning we come round right. 84BDsop
Well....there're the lyrics to the end of BD's 81-84 programs....I won't repeat the lyrics out of respect for a certain instructor, however. You KNOW the ones I mean, Ken!!

dieselfume
A bunch of years ago, the Scouts' horn line had put some lyrics to Santana's "Oye Como Va" which were a lighthearted jab at the pit. I wish I could remember more but the opening lines were: "We are in the pit And we practice in the shade" The pit took the joke well. . taters
Ok Slackers...the name of the tune? it should be easy...here is a more esoteric one Take me alone I don't care where you have come And I don't have to know Exactly where you're going If you leave me behind Then everything on your mind Will turn to pictures of the world We might have been XXXXXX XXXXX may go very fast But maybe not so far Playing alone is still solitaire Remember XXXXXX XXXXX may reach for a love But only half as well XXXXXX XXXXX may seem satisfied How can they tell ? If we're crossing the line Where there's no yours and no mine We'll find it easy to see People should be together XXXXXX XXXXX may go very fast But maybe not so far Playing alone is still solitaire Remember XXXXXX XXXXX may reach for a love But only half as well XXXXXX XXXXX may seem satisfied How can they tell ? Take me along Let's not be people alone I'm on your mind So please don't leave me behind Crossing the line Where there's no yours and no mine

Is it "People Alone", 82 BD closer? From "The Competition" with Richard Dreyfus and Amy Irving? Garry in Vegas
