oldbandguy
After two years of not fielding a corps, Capital Regiment is holding their first round of auditions this weekend. I hope they have a great turnout and I look forward to a report on how things went. It would be great to have 3 World Class corps in Ohio once again. leadsopranoman
In the Capital Regiment forums a horn player said that in the hornline there was 7 trumpets, 4 mellos, 3 baris, and 5 tubas.

I hope they don't give up based on attendance - every corps I have ever taught would kill to have those brass numbers at a winter camp! oldbandguy
It would be great, but if they come out, they'll be open class. Whether they would return as World class or Open class has NOT been determined. That will be up to DCI. The corps director has said he hopes/plans to return in World Class. Obviously, if they do not pick up their numbers from the November camp (if what was stated on their forum is true), they most likely would not be approved for World Class. There is no longer a "rule" that states an inactive corps MUST come back in open class.

kevingamin
I hope they don't give up based on attendance - every corps I have ever taught would kill to have those brass numbers at a winter camp! Remember the membership problems Troopers had coming back in 2007. Thanks to serious recruiting, they ended up fielding a full horn line that season. That's the key here - RECRUIT!!! Slow Adam
Wow. It's a completely different music education environment up here.
