I know what you’re thinking… “Dude Pioneer is last, people will look at me and wonder why I am marching there”. Yes Pioneer may be last right now but change is coming!! You will not get better sitting at home wishing you were on the field. You get better by being on the field and getting good education. Do not get discouraged because you didn’t make your dream corps, get motivated to make the best of your summer with another organization and hopefully that will be Pioneer. There has been a pretty severe change in musical direction with the Pioneer corps for the upcoming year. We have openings at present in all sections, and we are hoping for a bigger, more talented corps. So if you havent been accepted in the corps of your dreams, you may do a summer at Pioneer and find out that is the corps of your dreams. The January camp is the third weekend of this month, and there is more inforamtion on the website at http://www.pioneer-corps.org Fill out an online application, and come see the corps at the next camp. A friend of mine was cut from Cavaliers in 2006, and he went on to march Phantom in 2007 & 2008, and he is back there again this year.
