Opened!

I thought of another one- Chum- which could apply to either VK (because of the shark) or to Freelancers (as VK's rivals)

Prior to 1987 Regiment did not have the plumes on their helmets....so they looked like Dow's Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaner..."we work hard, so you don't have tooooooooooo..........."

Which of course led into "We take second so you don't have tooooooooooo........."

So are there any DCA counterparts for some of these? :thumbup:

Sure, the riff off of the SofA nickname was used for Racine's Senior corps (at the time):

The Sperm of Seventy Snakes.

Then when the folks from Bloomington began their ascent of the drum corps world, we lovingly referred to them as Scar on My Banana. Ah, good times, and the joys of youth...

I guess that's better than Pink Band Fags. :thumbup:

A few more from the 70/80s (mostly regional):

Americanos = Frito Banditos

Pioneer--in the green/yellow uniform = Peas and Corn

Blue Stars--following 77/78 = Jew Stars

Glassmen = Glass holes

St Croix Rivermen = Riverrats

Scarlet Knights = Scrotum Bites (ouch!!)

Belles of St Mary's = Balls of St Peter

Precisionnaires = Osage, can you see?

Colts = Dukes of Dupuke

Salina Silver Sabres = Saliva

Continental Ambassadors = Collosal Embarassments

Kilts = transliterate the "l" and the "i'

And those alums from the Chicagoland area should remember who Garfield Goose is:
