ClaffleCoptor32
I realize that the Director is also the head of the Board of Directors in title, but that doesn't mean he was necessarily a hands on director and responsible for their financial problems. There were other people on the board who wern't handling the situation properly and when Mr. LaFlamme got word that this was going on he acted by filing for the bankruptcy. bhs alumni
i feel it should be pointed out that the corps director is not the president of the board for every corps. in fact from what i have learned, sometimes its quite better that those be two different people. although in some cases the corps director needs to get rid of the president of the board and assume the position themselves. funkrocker049
What was the hall used for, especially in the way of practice and fund raising? The corps hall was used for weekend practices during the winter months, weekend housing during the summer months, equipment/uniform storage, bingo hall, administration, and trophy/picture museum. idontwan2know
in my case it's fact...the corps i used to work for flew the director to DCI meetings in FL. And what is remarkable about that? They're going on official corps business, why shouldn't their travel expenses be covered by the corps? This is standard practice, as far as I know.
