ContraFart
Scouts might have their hands full tonight at retreat. There's still alot of dirt out there and they're having some ensemble balance and timing problems (moreso than Troop or Colts). It's a VERY exciting show and I look forward to the next viewing. My biggest complaint - There was a TON of low end synth in that show. The low brass is pretty light compared to upper brass so it helped to balance things out ... but it's a cheat and at times was overpowering. It's good to see the boys getting stronger! I agree, with the low end synth problems. I think its a theme for alot of corps. I think the Colts are the only corps so far tonight who made good use of the synths. Scouts have lots of room for improvement...more than Colts and Troopers...so, provided they get their crap together, they stand a chance to be #12. I don't think they get any higher than that....music is still too choppy...no high knee marching that they could certainly use in a few spots. Just sounds like a bunch of chopped up music trying to fit together. And..what's with the closer? Rather lame for Scouts standards.

jkingqm
Hey fellow okie! I'm from Poteau, Ok. Have a daughter in Bluecoats! That is so exciting Bloomom! I always wear a my Bluecoats tshirt when I see them and I love yelling "BLUEEEEEEE!". I won't get to see them this year live though. I'm going to the Broken Arrow, OK and Van Buren, Arkansas shows. Machine
Don't know about the rest of you,but this feed sucks. Quality is better, but I've had to reboot during EVERY show tonight. Sound drops, screen freezes, etc. Very disappointing, as this is the worst stream since 07 season. I'm using Mac with safari and QuickTime. Any other mac users having problems? I'm having issues here too. By the end of Madison's show they were about 2 seconds out of sync with the visual. Lots of audio drop outs toward the end too. The rest of the shows have had pretty good audio but visual freezes regularly (every minute or so) for about a second. Honestly, I remember the quality of the feeds being much better that last couple of years.
jay72877
I think Mandarins need to clean their drill so badly - and why did their guard bring out matresses on the field? There flag silks looks like bed sheets with some colors. Otherwise - go Mandarins. Cascades - hopefully they can continue to grow in the next couple of years. I would not be happy if I had to spin tree branches in the guard.
Cop
Yikes.Madison has three days off until their next show, so they can make more changes going into the first major competition. They have great horns and music, but that doesn't get you into Finals. Those elements have to be strong enough to overcome the issues with the show, and if you're already vulnerable in drums (as shown last night) then things get that much harder. We'll see what the scores are at the end of the night. Tonight the Scouts will be well behind Colts and Troop .... but they have time...but will be further behind Troop then last night.
