HNC contra goes down in Allentown

Recommended Posts

At least I think it was a contra, maybe a baritone. On the side 2 45 right at the beginning of the opener. He got up pretty quick but was a couple of beats off in the count for about a measure.

Question: I doubt the judges take away for the fall itself, but what do they think about the 4 or so counts he took to get back in time once he was back in line?

Do the judges ignore the whole 'event' or take away for the late recovery?

I saw that it was a contra and I think the judges should just ignore the whole thing. He didnt actually fall to ground he just fell to his knee and its not like he didnt get up quick and was off for the rest of the opener

shhh... no one would've known if you didn't say anything... now they're going to change the scores!

They probably only notice if it's big enough. Truthfully, if their eyes are on the other side of the field at a moment like that, they often miss it. Such we noticed in 2007.

I think the degree to which it get's ignored gets dramatically lowers as the season draws to a close. If you're falling in June or early July that's one thing. If you *still* have falls in late July or August I think it will begin to hurt you.

grr...I know exactly what happened, and it wasnt the person who fell's fault. That said, it was still a clear mistake, but i doubt many people noticed it.

I didn't even know this happened.

Oh, and by the way, this is 2009 and they are called TUBAS.

Not if you ask my son, who is playing one this year!
