And who is coming back? Southwind ? ANAHEIM ? freelancers ? Magic ? others ?? and No BDB and SCVCadets are not moving . nor should they. AlexL Posted August 12, 2009 Share Posted August 12, 2009 What difference would it be, financially (obviously its a different ballgame competitively) if BDB or SCVC became a regionally touring world class corps, like PC or Jersey Surf? Estancia93 Posted August 16, 2009 Share Posted August 16, 2009 OK...I don't pretend to know what goes on in the Blue Devils org, but it clearly makes way more sense, if finals are going to continue in Indy year after year that BDB goes back to the every other year schedule they employed in the 90s and earlier this decade. It just makes too much fiscal sense no matter how many resources the corps has. They used to work it out so SCVC would come to Madison, Buffalo, etc. one year and then BDB would come the following year. Yes, it's nice to be able to bring the OC corps east each summer, just thinking that saving those bucks for use elsewhere in the org makes sense as well. BDB has never been consistently every other year. According to corpreps.com, they've been to finals a total of 9 times. 1977, 1978, 1991, 1997, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 The only thing close to every other year was when they went to Denver in 04, then Madison in 06.
