Is the parade televised or (hope, hope) carried on the web?

Can think there is one parade that is but can't remember which.

If memory serves me correctly, there has been local cable television coverage of both the parade and the concert in the past. The name 'Adelphia' comes to mind. Perhaps locals up that way can confirm or correct this. I don't know if this is still done or not. The honorary Grand Marshall was even one of their local news anchors, if I recall, either last year or in 2007.

Can someone from the Plymouth area verify for us?

The last time I participated in this, which I admit was about 5 or 6 years ago, the parade and the evening show were both taped by the local cable access people. One or the other may have been shown live, but they were at least taped.

Thanks, was hoping my wife could watch the parade over the internet thingee at home but looks like no dice. Will just have to wait for the DVD when it comes out.

Now I remember the Winchester, VA Apple Blossom Festival Parade is also broadcast over the local station. Never saw the broadcast but looks like they have an overhead camera at the reviewing stand. (At least something is hanging over us at that point. )

And someone (think a TV station) has an internet link to a big parade.... Will have to check.

The big Boston TV stations are WCVB(5-ABC), WBZ(4-CBS), WHDH(7-NBC), and WFXT(25-Fox). I wouldn't get my hopes up, however...it usually doesn't even warrant a mention on the newscasts, much less streaming net. Perhaps some Rhode Island folks can chime in as to whether any of the RI stations provide any coverage?

The Annual Drum Corps Reunion Concert in Plymouth MA on November 21, will be upon us before we know it. Plymouth is known as America's Home Town, pulsing with history on every corner, and the weekend before Thanksgiving is the perfect time to make a visit. And of course, drum corps enthusiasts can get their final fix before Winter. This year's lineup includes local favorites Boston Crusaders Seniors, St. Kevin Emerald Knights, and the Defenders. Returning popular units are the Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights, Park City Pride, and Hawthorne Caballeros Alumni corps. Making their Plymouth debut are the Hanover Lancers and the Reilly Raiders.

With Mission Drums (DCA), the East Coast Classic (DCI) and this alumni reunion Concert, the Boston area will have hosted the spectrum of drum corps.

One of my favorite events of the DC year. Along with Wildwood in June, this show provides the other "book end" to the season.

For anyone who hasn't been......just be prepared. Bring the longjohns and the summer shorts, 'cause you never know. A marvelous place to perform (the parade and the concert venue) and a great place to visit if you're not performing. I've enjoyed both experiences. (But one requires more alcohol than the other)

Can't make it this year, but recommend it to all.

I would bet against a web broadcast.. Local cable network televise it

Not sure about the concert, they may have televised it in the past, but I am always at the show so I am no help on that info...

They tape it and do sell DVD's....

But the parade is televised and they do a great job.

Bring your vcr and set it for 4 hours and you should get that part.....

Looking forward to seeing Lancers and Reilly perform for the first time in Plymouth..

You will love the crowds both the parade and the concert.

Pete

Parade line-up is now posted on America's Hometown website.

Thank you, funny thing is it's listed under 2008 and I almost ignored it. Looks like a cool parade, too bad I won't see much of it.

Hi guys ,

I know that there are two very high quality DVD companys that do the Plymouth Show. BFD TV ,on the Plymouth Show web site & also our old friend Charlie Schiavone of Digitalcds.com . .The picture & most of all the sound is outstanding for both of these DVDs .So if You unfortunatly can't make the show, do yourself a favor & get the DVD. Great stuff !

See You at the show,
