DCPI-13 Here We Go!

Recommended Posts

If the corps was LOST they would be dying of nosebleeds and would have traveled to more than 1977 by now. They also wouldn't be together anymore because at some point half the corps would have gone to 1952 and the other half to 1986.

And half the bus would have been discovered on the side of the road somewhere.

I'll be ####ed, the judges finally liked Kadence's show last night

Don't know if we have what it takes to win, but you can bet we're gonna try!

Good news is, the late-season changes we've made to our guard book are paying off in spades for us. And if I'm reading my corps right, they could be on the verge of a major surge come finals night.

NMP is happy with the progress thus far. NPE and Nastalgia both make finals, and Nastalgia Vanguard sneaks into Semis. Nastalgia Vanguard put the tag on to their show LAST NIGHT after the contest. This is some of the hardest drill we've done in the history of the organization, and hopefully we get rewarded for it. Maybe we can jump those 5 spots needed to make finals.

VK Org. is extremely happy with the way championship week is going thus far. Velour Knights have been very consistent and are just hoping to maintain for the remaining shows. VK Too made some tweaks to the show after returning to housing from Quaters. It helped them moved up into the middle of the finalist pack. VK³ has had the more stressful week. Having to make major changes to the show in the last week, but as of last night, it seem to have all paid off. The staff is even thinking about adding one more thing just for finals. Big difference over the feeling we had last week when we were fearful of not even making finals. The kids have worked very hard.

wow i can't explain how excited i am about how velocity has done. a corps from a region of the u.s. noone knows about in its first season has gone all the way tomake it this far posting a 93.345 in quarters, only 1.2 higher and we would have had first. and only about .2 and we would have claimed GE. everyone has really been into our show. well all i can say is semifinals will have new stuff, and finals night if we get there will have a totally new ending. who knows, ala scv 89...vk 92... bd 04  ? well have to wait and see. but it will definitely be something that they talk about for generations to come :worthy:

The Season for both of the NEOMAO Corps has come to an end. Much progress was made in some areas, while in others significant opportunities still exist.

The final results for the season:

Silver Streak

Silver Streak began the season a bit slower than their inaugural season last year, but quickly fell into stride and improved their placement from 33rd in DCPI-XII to 19th overall this season with a score of 92.535. This year's program was considerably more challenging than the inaugural year show, featuring all original music this year. The Corps was pleased to make it past Prelims and into the Quarterfinals.

Bronze Star

This being an inaugural season for the Open Class Bronze Star, the entire season was filled with difficulties. We started off very slow, and never managed to gain significant momentum despite several major re-writes in the Brass and visual portions of the show. The Corps placed 30th overall, with a score of 85.800.

The productions for the DCPI-XIV season are currently in the planning stages for both corps. NEOMAO is also pleased to announce that they will be fielding an A Class Corps in DCPI-XIV, which will be called Titanium. Program announcements, as well as an audition camp schedule, will be made in the forthcoming weeks.

The Instructors and Staff of NEOMAO wish to congratulate all Corps for a spectacular season, and we look forward to seeing all of you on the competition field in the DCPI-XIV Season!
