Eric M. Buckman
Does anyone have any idea what is going on with the SCV Battery(Drumline)??? I am speachless. Just curious...I know a few members moved on to Devs...but they seem to be increadibly green...and are struggling more than what is expected or should be expected of them...considering the talent they have I'm at a loss. They should RELOAD every year.

They should RELOAD every year. SCV had a rule this season that you could not have any conflicts with their camp schedule...no exceptions. That meant that anyone involved in indoor drumline most likely could not participate in SCV's line.
I play the baritone good
SCV had a rule this season that you could not have any conflicts with their camp schedule...no exceptions. That meant that anyone involved in indoor drumline most likely could not participate in SCV's line. Hasn't that been the case in the past, though? I was told that for a few years there the battery actually moved in to an apartment together during the offseason so they could practice as a unit every day. Dudes transferred schools just to make it work. I guess that was just a tall tale?
BozzlyB
They're probably just having a down year, it happens. SCV's drumline sucked major baggage in either 93 or 94 (would have been Tyler Dempsey's 1st year (not his fault though lol)) and then came back with a vengence with some of their best lines in the mid-late 90's. Jason Harrison
Based on rumors I've heard.... things will be MUCH better next year. Now, of course, that's based on rumors. Pretty good source though!
NR_Ohiobando
I know what you mean. They're G7 and all, so how could they possibly have a down year right? [/sarcasm]
MikeN
Looking at DCP's own Caption Ranking System, SCV is sitting in 8th with unweighted scores, and 6th with weighted scores. While not challenging for high drums at the moment, it's not like they've fallen off the face of the earth, either. Mike

mobrien
Sometimes you go younger as a strategy for longer term success. It's possible that SCV was willing to take some lumps this year in exchange for building a line for '11 and '12.
