MagicBobert
If you're a kid on the field though, you are not going to know the difference. The crowd isn't yelling, "We're not booing you, we're booing your design staff". People may not like the show, or its concept, and that is perfectly alright, people are entitled to their opinions, but there are other venues to air their frustrations, not at a moment that 150 young men and women have worked all summer for. Amen to that. Booing is never appropriate. Ever. End of discussion. You can justify it however you want by saying you're booing the design staff, but I still think you're a classless hack if you do it. Stay classy midwest fans. TerpCorpsNut
Why is everyone so grumpy? I hated BD's show (maybe I just refuse to like them).... but you can't deny they marched and played the heck out of it. Thousands of kids paid lots of money to work their butts off this summer to do what they love and entertain us. Congrats to all of them. :)
skywhopper
I'm a Crown honk, but I can't believe that FN award didn't go to the Scouts. Agree totally.

If you're a "kid" on the field that just won DCI I would imagine you could give a rats ### about any booing. Just saying

saxfreq1128
Thats what the fans think of BD's show. But the show can't be separated from the people performing it. Without the performers, there'd have been no performance. How you think you can be boo'ing one aspect and not the other -- and how you think the people at whom those boo's are targeted can tell the difference -- completely escapes me. byline
The fans do not like BD's show. When that happens, booing happens. Remember though, the booing is directed at the highbrow self serving intellectual knuckleheads who designed this show, not the kids. Well, as was obvious from the comments posted by a Star alumnus re: there being some closure thanks to the warm fan response they received last night, the booing that corps endured was hurtful, and there's no doubt in my mind it left lasting scars. You can't interpret a boo; all you can do is hear it, and for a performer, a boo is the worst possible reaction to his or her performance. If people want to send a message to the designers, then they should write a letter or pick up the phone and communicate with them directly. Don't go the classless route and take it out on the performers! Congratulations to BD on an amazing 14th DCI title, and thank you to all the corps for a wonderful season! DrumCorpsMom
I had this inkling of hope that they might show the encore performance, but I am appreciative of being able to see what DCI provided. I bought the streaming of Semi's and it took the edge off not going this year. Thanks DCI!
