sydstranda
10 electronic keyboardists, 140 color guard. Why not? GE would be through the roof. It seems like this would be the judges dream come true. Possible? Is this more, or less stupid than 50 keyboardists? What about 10 members playing drum sets, 3 guitarists, 2 bass guitarists, and 5 people playing electronic keyboards... Does that suck? Aren't we pretty darn close to that already? I guess the question is at what point does the atrocity of allowing keyboards, guitars, vocals, etc... become just TOO absurd?

Aren't we pretty darn close to that already? How about one drummer, one guitarist, one bass guitarist, a synth player, and a singer. Forget the guard. Spend your money on a stage and quality PAs. It may or may not score well, but I bet the corps would clean up moneywise.
bluecoats88
the only problem with 10 keys and 140 guard is yes your GE Visual and Visual scores might be good, and your ensemble music scores might be good, but you'd probably get killed in GE Music (unless the keyboard players are doing some really cool stuff) and you'd get 0 in Brass and Percussion. I don't know, the sythns certainly enhance some brass scores. There is a brass option on the keyboards. There's also programmed drum beats ready to go! Vanguard07
How about no... Not sure if you're trolling and just really bad at it, or if you're legitimately serious and just ########. At any rate, it's just a bad idea all around.

rkfdPRphan
How much of this stuff will run on electricity???? Already been to a couple of stadiums where the wiring couldnt handle the mics, amps and synths. MORE!?!?!? Corps will need to bring their own generators....one of the corps did that - brought the generator to the field to plug into when the stadium power failed........ Henson
What you are describing there is BOA. Oh, bull. They get this crap from you every year, and it's wrong every year. Take a look at Avon's show for the last two years and then try to come back with that BS. Or listen to Marcus' winds and tell me who relied more on synths, Crossmen or Marcus HS. Get off your freakin' high horse folks.
