perc2100
Ha; funny (and kinda sad as I'm a percussionist)
Blackstar
So basically when I'm trying to pick up a pretty girl DON'T mention I play drums....I thought girls found that hot...
actucker
And suddenly I'm reminded of why I majored in jazz studies instead of percussion performance.

TAFL
http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/7892849/Jim Casella posted this on Facebook! Funny! I generally explain that I'm a trained percussionist--I'm a drummer and I can play all them fancy drums, too. Seems to keep the discussion away from playing triangles and castanets.... Michael Boo
So basically when I'm trying to pick up a pretty girl DON'T mention I play drums....I thought girls found that hot... No; being a drummer is still cool. Being a percussionist is what's considered dweeby. I can say that because I am one. Last night I performed the second of three performances of a live orchestra accompanying a ballet troupe in "The Nutcracker." Lots of triangle, tambourine and cymbal with a little bit of bass drum, castanets, gong, clock chime and gun thrown in for good measure. Maybe if you didn't focus on the pretty girls. Gbassman5
that was HILARIOUS and, also partially explains why i'm switching to music composition as my major. lol
