garfield
Randall Boggs: "Where's the kid, you little one-eyed crettin?" Mike Wazowski: "Okay. First of all, it's cretin. If you're gonna threaten me, do it properly." Unless you really meant to say that his brother comes from a Greek island. Point to you for the catch. Funny thing is that the DCP spell checker gave me that spelling. But a rock-covered Greek island is kind of appropriate as well. contrajedi8
Had my Brother over to help me with some projects. We took lunch and where eating I thought i would throw some DCI in the DVD. Got thru PR'08 and he went back into the bedroom, pulled up a chair and sat down in the vacant room, said he would rather watch the paint dry. Funny. I feel the same way. Todd Tanji
I actually did have the chance to show a good friend just one drum corps show to expose her to the activity. It was a 2010 BD rehearsal and she was COMPLETELY blown away.
DrillmanSop06
The "Running Hornline" video filmed at a 2007 Regiment rehearsal is one video that has NEVER failed to impress. It's loud music with the entire hornline jazz running; it displays musicality and more importantly, athleticism.
ihatechewis08
I find it to be largely irrelevant. Regardless of the shows I've tried to show people I always get the same "Why am I wasting 10 minutes of my life on a marching band half time show?" look on their faces. By the time opener is over they're looking for a way out. Drum Corps will never be interesting to the vast majority of people, that's just the way it is. thats not entirely true im a good example of someone who thought, and still thinks drum corps is stupid as an outsider looking in, id have to say a recent cavaliers show will do the trick just not 200o, 2001, or 2009
2000Cadet
I've never had any success with ANY recordings. I've had more success introducing people to a live show.

And why in God's name are you posting on a website for an activity you find to be stupid.

They wanna see some cool, innovative things. although i feel some of you alls perception on "cool" is watching crowns pre show in 2009, or stuff like that why do i post on here if i think its stupid? simple i see stupid people say stupid things, and i want to comment about it. the only corps i could see entertaining crowds not involved with music are cavaliers and blue devils. Possibly scouts from this year
garfield
I've never had any success with ANY recordings. I've had more success introducing people to a live show. Interesting. I took four new people to our show last year and beforehand gave them each the 2000 DVD with instructions to watch Cadets. None of them watched the DVD and all four left the show by the 4th of 7 corps. I wonder if they'd have stayed if they'd watched the DVD...
