luvs me sum mello!
From Carolina Crown's Facebook: "Crown is looking for a college aged student that can come to spring training and go on tour with us for the whole summer as our metronome technician. Cost? $0.00 But you really need to know how to run a DB-90 or be an aweful quick learner. Tough job, but you tour and hang with Crown all summer." lol?

Cost? Significant, basically whatever you would lose out on making at a summer job, but free "food" and "housing". But you really need to know how to run a DB-90 or be an awful quick learner. Tough job, but you tour and hang with Crown all summer, so, like, I mean you should be paying us really... lol? I fixed that for accuracy.
mellodramatic
It's actually a really important job and the person gets mad props for doing it.
BozzlyB
It's actually a really important job and the person gets mad props for doing it. That's probably true, it just strikes me as one of the suckiest ways on earth to spend a summer unless the alternatives are, like, hot tar roofing or something. I found some humor in how they glorified the position and overall experience they're likely to have in the announcement .
contrajedi8
Don't they have a backfield conductor? I always thought it was the backfield betty's job to run the met.
general_tsos_chicken2
It's better than making an alternate, who paid the full tour fees, do it IMO. Still kind of funny tho. I don't think the person gets 'mad props' for doing it tho. I don't remember ever hearing, man... we couldn't do it with our met b***h lol (and I've heard the met guy/girl being called the met b***h from most corps, unfortunately) I think there are plenty of people who would love this opportunity, and enjoy doing it, however.

Which is why, if you know this, then it makes the announcement hilarious. Garbage man = Sanitation Expert Nurse = Medical Technician water boy = Hydration Expert or Training Assistant Met B***h = Metronome Technician
