What purpose does this type of post have so early in the season? I personally find it quite ignorant to place a corps before anyone gets to see the corps (including the poster most likely). What could you possibly base your assessment on? Smaller corps find it hard enough to "make it" without some knucklehead discouraging members before the season even begins. Larger, established corps that are trying to make a run at the top may feel the same way. I find nothing fun about it at all. I find it rude and insulting to the members that are trying to make their corps as good as possible. Dan Hines well, thats kinda why I say my usual whoever scores highest wins stuff. But let's be realistic. if you get all that bent out of a preseason prediction or what someone writes in a review, you have far bigger issues going on. See, you can only control what you do on the field. You can't control what your corpsmates will do, what other corps will do, what the judges will do, or hell how the crowd will react. IMO, the biggest issue in this activity is the inability of people to look at themselves objectively. Hell, I'm a member of a corps that won THE most contested and still complained about DCA finals ever, and I still watch the tape and say "well......maybe not". Open Class 1- MBI (knocking on the door for a few years now) 2- Bucs (If they fall from 1st, I cant see them falling hard) 3- Cabs (They are due to return to the top 3) 4- Empire 5- Hurricanes 6- Alliance 7- Renegades 8- Bushwackers 9- Tampa Bay Thunder 10- Corps Vets 11- Kilties Class A 1- Fusion Corps (Another great year from them I expect) 2- Sunrisers 3- Carolina Gold 4- Govenaires 5- Windsor Regiment 6. White Sabers 7. High Country Brass 8. Arkansas Thunder 9. Cincinnati Tradition 10. Shenandoah Sound 11. Excelsior Trends I'm seeing- So four pages in and so far it seems pretty consistent between MBI and Bucs for 1st which I believe it largely probable and Fusion Corps and Sun for Class A. I am surprised to see so many posts thus far putting Alliance over Cabs, or having Cabs down in general. But- to each there own. Had it been someone less worthy of the comeback..say ME for instance, I could see you ignoring it.. Runs and Hides I ain't predicting folks..Just WAY too many variables..I assume things will focus better after the first few shows..looking forward to Lewisburg..another long-a**ed road trip.. Jeff is definitely one of those "few"!!! And maybe I'll let YOU get away with it some day!! Now.....As far as these predictions go BEFORE most of you have seen anyone.....they are just flat out rediculous. I have seen a number of the corps from the northeast....class A and open, and I am going to tell you now......most of you are WAY off!!!! Will there be surprises??? I am absolutely positive there will be! Will there be shocks? I am absolutely positive there will be! Open Class is up for grabs....THIS I BELIEVE! Class A is up for grabs...THIS I BELIEVE! As as Jeff says, the corps with the highest score will win, the corps with the second highest score will be second, and so on. Just sayin.....
