So here's a petition to bloo to change their ballad. How is it possible to compete with the other groups that have such luscious, beautiful moments. I understand the connections between music and visual during it, and I very much understand what you guys are trying to create there. The rest of the show has some great moments that can be competitive. Please don't try and fix it, just scrape it. It will be hard to get passed 6th with that moment. DangerZone Posted June 19, 2011 Author Share Posted June 19, 2011 Really just want to see if anyone feels the same way. in the Bluecoats ballad they experiment with the quadraphonic stuff. They play it okay, but it is not very strong from a GE stand point. They kind of pass chords around the field, build chord pyramids, stagger phrases through the pods visually and musically. DangerZone Michael Gray, their program coordinater, said that it could be marvelous, and it could be disastrous. I think they'll be able to pull it off. IMHO, this is part of the artistry of the season: taking that which may not work and making it better. It where some of these brilliant designers (from all corps) are worth their weight in gold!
