My wife can't go and I would like to donate this to someone that would like to go and can't afford it. I will be at the front entrance Friday at 5:45. Cron Posted August 1, 2011 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Call it whining, call it ranting, call it what you want, here goes: Tight budget this year so I had to choose, Fan Network or my local show, Nightbeat. Decided on the live option, of course. Deliberately fasted from friends' fan network viewings and anything on youtube, etc. Only heard the smallest audio snippets and the random free media on corps websites and dci.org in order to be able to view everything with fresh perspective. Well... I thoroughly enjoyed the Blue Stars and really wanted to see more. I know that no one can control the weather, but feel like I should be compensated in some way. $45 is not exactly a cheap ticket and I am, by no means saying I should get a refund, stuff happens. I just wish there were a way for me to get the next live FN broadcast for free or something. I thought I was gonna get a serious dose of drum corps today, and I get nothing except $45 out of my wallet. It seems that with technology being as it is today, I should at least be able to enter my ticket bar code and get limited access to the VODs or something.
