Pinwiz
It's that time of the year again! Trying to predict how DCI will be seeding the Quarterfinals is part studying history and part taking a guess in the dark. For the last few years, the Quarterfinals lineup has been determined by averaging the scores from the San Antonio, Atlanta, and Allentown regionals. If a corps isn't at one of the shows (Jersey Surf), they most recent show to that date is used. With 2/3 of the data in after last night, here are where the corps stand: Place Corps Current Average ----- ------------- ----------------- 1 Blue Devils 92.88 2 (T) The Cadets 92.25 2 (T) The Cavaliers 92.25 4 Carolina Crown 91.08 5 Phantom 88.95 6 Bluecoats 87.63 7 SCV 87.20 8 Boston 86.05 9 Madison Scouts 85.00 10 Blue Knights 83.83 11 Blue Stars 83.63 12 Spirit 80.75 13 (T) Troopers 79.78 13 (T) Glassmen 79.78 15 The Academy 78.58 16 Colts 77.45 17 Crossmen 77.08 18 Pacific Crest 74.58 19 Mandarins 71.88 20 Teal Sound 71.83 21 Cascades 69.83 22 Jersey Surf 68.00 23 Pioneer 67.28 What does this mean for Allentown? Let's look at the corps performing Friday: - The Cavaliers must beat Cadets by any amount and beat Blue Devils by 1.25 to take first seed. - Phantom Regiment must beat Carolina Crown by 4.25 to advance. - Bluecoats must beat Phantom Regiment by 2.65 to advance. - Madison Scouts must beat Boston by 2.1 to advance. - Blue Stars must beat Blue Knights by 0.4 to advance. - The winner of the competition between Troopers and Glassmen will determine who goes on later at Quarterfinals. - Both Troopers and Glassmen need to beat Spirit by 1.95 to go on in 12th place. - Mandarins must beat Pacific Crest by 5.4 to advance. - Teal Sound must beat Mandarins by 0.1 to advance. - Cascades must beat Teal Sound by 4 to advance. - Pioneer must beat Jersey Surf by 1.45 to advance. After we get the scores from Friday night, we'll be able to assign the requirements for the Saturday corps.
GREENBLUE
I believe I read that Minneapolis is now considered a regional show and these scores are also calculated into the QF performance order. that would currently put: Cavies: 90.61 average BD: 90.55 average Cadets: 90.01 average Crown: 89.36 average and on and on..... Pinwiz
I believe I read that Minneapolis is now considered a regional show and these scores are also calculated into the QF performance order. It's possible. If you can find a reference to that, please post it. I'll probably to an alternative version with Minneapolis included just for the hell of it anyway.
