Cadets went up 2 full points (78.6 to 80.6) Bones went up 2.1 points (71.1 to 73.2) Colts went up 2.1 points (68.5 to 70.6) Teal Sound went up 2.2 points (63.9 to 66.1) But Surf only went up a tenth? (65.9 to 66)???? Did they have a dirty run? Seems kinda odd... would like to see recaps. Could be that their percussion scores are not as strong (audience needs to be more precise with those banana sticks!)...recaps could help us sort it out Edited July 4, 2012 by Kevin. Hmmm... any connection to Crown now? Who transformed Cadets horn line then went to Star? Hmmm... any staff at Crown that just might have been influenced? Who arranged Crowns horn book? Hmmm... where did he march again, it escapes me. Content MATTERS to these 2 teams. That should be celebrated. That's how I see it anyway. What would be even better is for fans of these 2 Corps to unite and appreciate each others team. Agreed! I am definitely glad that Cadets are putting out shows I can enjoy once again. Drums1 Posted July 4, 2012 Share Posted July 4, 2012 Teal last year scored pretty well in drums all season long, I bet that helped. Ummm... Sorry to tell you this, but... The BEST Teal did in drums all season last year against EVERYONE in World Class was 17th. That was in San Antonio, and Surf wasn't there. At the other BIG shows later on they were: 20th Place in drums in Atlanta and 20th place in drums in Quarter Finals. I KNOW they tried as well as they could, and I TOTALLY support Teal and EVERY corps no matter how big or small. However, Teal's drums didn't HURT their scores, but they didn't help move them up overall placement wise either. In closing, this year, I wish EVERY corps the very best. That's why EVERY year at finals I give EVERY corps a standing "O". To make it all the way to the end of the season, they deserve at least that! Just my 2 cents, with a couple of facts sprinkled in...
