N.E. Brigand
When was the last time there was a 3 position standings change between semi-finals and finals? Do you mean one corps that improved or fell by three spots in that one night? Or three corps that changed position in that one night? BRASSO
when was the last time there was a 3 position standings change between semi-finals and finals ? 3 position ? 1979 ( Guardsmen went from 10th in Prelims to 7th the next nite at Finals ). There is actually a trivia thread on the " History thread " on DCP, not sure if you were aware of it. YAou are welcome to join us there too. MikeD
yes - corps that improved or fell by three spots in that one competition. 2006 the Coats moved up 2 spots; that is the most I see in recent times. Regiment dropped from 6th to 8th in 92. Madison went from 7th to 9th in 1990.

Phantom Regiment went from 8th to 11th 1n 1974 ( 'didn't have Quarters, Semi's, Finals then, just Prelims , then Finals ) Crossmen went from 6th to 9th in '78 ( 2 shows... Prelims, then Finals ) Boston Crusaders in 2002 went from 8th in Quarters, to 6th in Semi's to 5th at Finals ( but that's 3 shows, for 3 position changes )
BRASSO
yes - corps that improved or fell by three spots in that one competition. Then this would be the Guardsmen in 1979. They went from 10th in the Prelims to 7th at Finals the next nite. They are the last Corps to move up or down 3 placement positions in the span of two back to back competitions at DCI Championships week. You must have had a really good forged birth certificate!!!
