msumello
Names of the corps/songs that had an extremely long note or chord that is sustained during a show. Examples 1. Carolina Crowns' ending chord for their show in 2009(held for 15 sec.). 2. Crowns opening for their 2010 show(held for 1:18 granted their stagger breathing but still a long note). 3. Cadets chord held about 10:10 in their 2011 show(held for 14 sec). 4. Troopers about a minute or so in their 2012 show(held for 16 sec). 2000Cadet
Cadets chord (well, it built into a dissonant chord) and the end of the second piece in 1998.

TerriTroop
Infinity chord in this clip: 23 seconds. (that's the official DCI clip) Also timed a couple of others on youtube at 22 and 28 seconds. The saber salute was awesome. Wish we could have seen more of that in the DCI clip. :thumbup:/> Edited June 9, 2013 by TerriTroop
burgerbob
I think Atlanta (Troopers 2011) was 31 seconds? I remember it being the longest for some reason. Also, I can't figure out what msumello meant by Crown 2010...
fsubone
Also, I can't figure out what msumello meant by Crown 2010... During the entire opening sequence, there is a chord held-out by parts of the baritone/tuba sections, and I believe the mellos.

burgerbob
Ahh. In that case, there have been several ballads with the pedal point underneath. In Troop '08 I played an F for a good minute or so of the ballad. I think Cadets has a similar ballad from the late '90s?
