zmom Posted July 22, 2013 Share Posted July 22, 2013 (edited) We are looking into purchasing tickets for Prelims and Finals. We haven't been to the stadium before. Any input regarding good or bad seats or sections would be appreciated. We were thinking of the sections just to the side of the center section. Is the center section really worth the extra price? We would like to be up high. Is it good or bad to be under the overhang? Are there any obstructions to the view from railings near the exits or anywhere else? Also - any hotel recommendations? For Alumni show we sat in the wheelchair access row and it was horrible with noise and smell of fat fryers being started up from the concourse. I think if DCA puts up a few signs it might help a little. I believe my tickets this year are in the same area, but a couple rows lower. I'm sure i'll get red marked to hell for saying this, but as long as beer is sold, noice down there will be heard. it can become old home week, and usually when people start throwing them down, they get louder. This was an issue in Scranton, Syracuse and Rochester. It's the nature of the beast. signs won't do anything. Even the Moosic brown shirts could only do so much No idea about during Prelims and Finals but Sunday AM there was no beer (at least at 10AM :tongue:/> ). Two problems are: 1) Because of the slant of the stands, the noise is funneled up to the opening right behind the wheelchair seating. the noise then echos around the top of that part of the stands because of the metal above and below. You can look over the wall behind that row and look straight down. Hades, you could jump down to the concourse but not recommended..... 2) How do you tell people not to talk when ordering food, souvies, etc. We were right over the first or second food area and knew when they started the grills. :shutup:/> Edited July 22, 2013 by JimF-LowBari Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Even the Moosic brown shirts could only do so much One thing that was suggested after last year was to make that end-zone picnic area a site for the "old home week" folks, and I agreed.
